Job Description

As the Vice President of Government, Federal, and Academia AI Sales at DDN Storage, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and growth of DDN Storage's cutting-edge AI storage solutions in the government, federal, and academic sectors. You will lead a dedicated sales team, develop and execute strategic sales plans, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in these critical verticals to accelerate the company's success in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

    Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive the adoption of DDN Storage's AI storage solutions in government, federal, and academic institutions, leveraging the company's proven track record of powering the world's most demanding AI and HPC workloads.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team focused on the unique needs and requirements of government, federal, and academic customers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity that aligns with DDN Storage's values.
  • Forge strong partnerships with key government agencies, federal organizations, and leading academic institutions, positioning DDN Storage as the trusted solution provider for their AI storage needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and engineering, to ensure the development and delivery of AI storage solutions that meet the specific security, compliance, and performance requirements of government, federal, and academic customers.
  • Drive revenue growth and market share expansion in the government, federal, and academic AI storage space, consistently exceeding targets and setting new standards for success.
  • Serve as a thought leader and evangelist for DDN Storage's AI storage solutions, participating in industry events, conferences, and other forums to showcase the company's expertise and innovation in these critical verticals.
  • Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to inform product development, go-to-market strategies, and competitive positioning in the government, federal, and academic AI storage landscape.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and success, working closely with the customer support and professional services teams to deliver unparalleled value and mission-critical support.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales, with a proven track record of success in the government, federal, or academic sectors, ideally with a focus on AI, HPC, or storage solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities in the government, federal, and academic AI markets, and how DDN Storage's solutions uniquely address these factors.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing sales teams, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to develop and implement winning sales strategies in complex and highly regulated environments.
  • Strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in government agencies, federal organizations, and leading academic institutions, with the ability to leverage these connections to drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences in the government, federal, and academic sectors.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and market share expansion in the government, federal, or academic technology space, with a focus on AI, HPC, or storage solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering) required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Relevant security clearances are a plus.
