Position description

Aydogan Lab - Junior Specialist
Biochemistry and Biophysics
UC San Francisco

We are searching for a Junior Specialist who will use their skills in bioinformatics of transcriptomics, proteomics, and gene-dependency analyses to collaborate and advance the work of wet-lab staff by providing bioinformatics support on large data sets. We also anticipate the Junior Specialist will have the opportunity to improve skills in coding-based image analysis pipelines as part of working to advance the larger research projects of the lab.

Required Qualifications:

  • A baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience is required to be appointed at the Junior rank.
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Some experience interfacing with scientific research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in statistics and its application on life sciences

See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $51,300-$54,600.
