We are looking for a Data privacy Program manager to manage operational and technical projects, defining, and implementing mechanisms to protect consumer and employee data, and reducing privacy risks. You should be inquisitive, creative, and enthusiastic, motivated to improve behalf of consumers, demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills and have an ownership mentality focused to proactively drive solutions critical to the privacy program.

You will report into the Assistant General Counsel, Data Protection and this is a hybrid role that will work onsite at our San Francisco Headquarters three days per week.

About the Job:

  • Provide project management leadership on global initiatives (e.g., privacy policy updates), regulatory implementations and tracking legislative developments.
  • Conduct operational deep dives on privacy processes and systems and engineer scalable solutions.
  • Partner with the business to embed privacy requirements and controls such as those related to data mapping, DSR task fulfillment and cookie compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for additional privacy procedures, SOPs, and job aids and draft as needed.
  • Support communication platforms and tools and refresh Intranet content; facilitate translations to support global requirements.
  • Manage critical workflows relating to data subject requests and privacy impact assessments.
  • Support the development and design of core privacy metrics.
  • Manage our annual privacy training roadmap and outreach events such as Data Privacy Day
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for privacy related inquiries from consumers.
  • Engage in benchmarking and recommendations on privacy technologies and privacy ops, seeking leading edge tools or resources to improve the program's capabilities and efficiency.
  • Developing a best-in-class privacy culture at LS&Co. is an essential part of our mission. This role will help develop our Privacy Champion Program network and build the Privacy Team's brand.
  • Technical skills using a variety of tools and platforms are needed (Power BI, One Trust) as we determine to either build in-house workflows and solutions or buy, adapt, and customize third party tools.
  • The ability to understand and explain privacy risk to technical and non-technical audiences is part of the strong communication skills needed for this role. You must enjoy preparing and giving presentations and supporting business clients.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years relevant experience in the privacy field.
  • Project management and Privacy certifications preferred
  • Detail oriented, organized and with proven track record of managing programs with a spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of global privacy concepts, including familiarity with the Fair Information Practice Principles, and legislation such as the GDPR, e-Privacy Directive, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.
  • Experience with data engineering techniques and privacy technology solutions.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $96,600 - $146,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
