Job/Internship Description

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is one of the most technically advanced designers and manufacturers of lightweight composite aerospace structures, subassemblies and components. To help ESH to organize and update policies and procedures

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Safety Manager to research and complete assigned projects
  • Work with Management and represented personnel to improve hazard recognition and human performance as they relate to safety
  • Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans
  • Conduct field surveys and develop JSA's to determine site-specific safety requirements such as equipment specifications, proper personal protective equipment, and safety training
  • Updating Lock out Tag out procedures
  • Updating machine-specific safety instructions
  • Researching and updating templates for safety training
  • Hazardous Communication labeling
  • Improve basic EHS forms, work instructions and SDS database
  • Data collection and analysis to design and/or monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs and initiatives
  • Gain exposure to EHS policies and practices

Develop EHS training programs including a video/web based training course


Day
Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30
  • Must be enrolled in a four year Occupational Health and Safety program, in Junior or Senior standing
  • Junior or Senior Level
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must have had prior education in OSHA regulations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction.
  • Must possess solid analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to travel within the United States (approximately 10%).

Must be able to commute to the facility (local candidates only, please).
