Job Description
Under general supervision of the Financial Operations Manager (FOM), provide pre-award and post-award administration and support to Faculty, Researchers, Staff, and students within the Department of Physics & Astronomy. Maintain fiscal integrity for all funds and accounts and ensure all funds are in an auditable/reportable condition. Assist with close budgetary activities. Develops and/or oversees research proposals, awards and/or transactions related to contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. Works on proposals of moderate scope such as single investigator and or Sub award proposals where analysis of financial information or reports requires the review of a variety of factors (e.g. budgets, salaries, expenses, etc.).Receives assignments on a project basis and fully analyzes problems, gathers data and information, and recommends solutions. May be eligible for delegated signature authority. Completes and approves transactions for signature by manager or other authorized institutional official.

The full salary range for the Contract and Grant Analyst 2 is $28.45 - $49.70 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $28.45 - $33.76 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
