In this role you will support ABB Local Division Sales in the whole sales process for digital solutions belonging to the Sustainability and Performance optimization portfolio. You will act as Regional Manager for America area reporting to the Global Application Sales Manager. This role is open globally in ABB Offices in America region.

Your responsibilities

  • Identify potential opportunities of Sustainability and Process Performance applications considering accessible customers in the Region for Energy Industries, in cooperation with Hub organizations and Local Division units.
  • Cooperate with Hubs and Local Divisions to approach customers, identifying the specific solution within the portfolio and the specific process unit
  • Coordinate with Local Divisions sales teams to supervise and guide the sales process in order to achieve KPIs and be proactive in support local sales to bring them up to speed with solution benefits from a customer perspective
  • Coordinate with the Digital Technical team to estimate customer quantitative benefits, estimate preliminary project ROI where relevant/beneficial
  • Support the Digital unit to prepare technical proposals and coordinate with local sales to prepare commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with selected Channel Partners to support sales of digital solutions, in a similar manner to support provided to the internal organization and in coordination with the Energy Industries Digital unit.
Your background

  • Master's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field (Chemical Engineering will be consider as a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales and/or pre-sales support of relevant digital solutions (Energy Management and Optimization, Power Management, Advanced Process Control, Process Optimization, VPP Plants/DERMS, etc.)
  • Previous experience in relevant industries in managing TSO and Energy Markets requirements and standards
  • Previous experience to recent developments in the Sustainability domain (Green/Blue Hydrogen, Green Ammonia Carbon Capture, Transportation and Storage, Sustainable fuels production, etc.)
  • Ability to present digital solutions to customers in a simple and comprehensive way. Ability to identify potential opportunities, articulate them and evaluate pros and cons.
