* | Drive implementation and consistent utilization of loss mitigation initiatives and practices. |
* | Review and investigate claims, assess losses and damages, and determine liability. |
* | Negotiate and process settlements and denials within assigned authority limits and in accordance with applicable policies, tariffs, contracts, bills of lading, and local regulations and conventions. |
* | Record and maintain claim data in claims systems in an accurate, detailed and timely fashion. |
* | Track key performance indicators (KPI) on business unit compliance with supporting documentation fulfillment requirements. |
* | Provide timely notice to and seek recoveries from underwriters and third parties as applicable. |
* | Develop, manage, and maintain effective relationships with business unit teams, underwriters, Third Party Administrators, and vendors. |
* | Communicate and coordinate with management and sales teams regarding claims settlements as needed to support client relationship management. |
* | Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. |
* | Identify and make recommendations for process improvements. |
* | Collaborate with TPAs and business units to monitor workers compensation claims and return to work efforts. Facilitate meetings and ensure timely updates and communications. |
* | Manage Claims Administration Systems including updating and maintaining data, codes, tables, and reporting. |
* | Create and import data files including Automotive Services, and Longshore (USL&H) claims. |
* | Identify and report systems and process issues to claims management team for action. |
* | Create and maintain routine and ad hoc reports and analysis. |
* | Maintain current knowledge of relevant and pending legislation and regulations. |
* | 5+ years' experience in a related claims administration position required |
* | 2+ years' experience managing workers compensation claims and/or auto liability claims required |
* | Demonstrated experience administering claims management systems required |
* | Experience with loss/damage claims preferred |
* | Experience in the cargo transportation industry preferred |
