The Opportunity

Adobe is seeking a hardworking, creative, and upbeat senior tech transactions/product attorney to support Adobe's content focused products, including Adobe Stock. A key part of this role will be strategic counseling and negotiation of content focused in-licensing deals for the Digital Media business.

What you'll do
  • Beasubject matter expert on content acquisition, moderation anduse across Digital Media to support current and future product development, including generative and non-generative AI technologies
  • Beone of the lead attorneysoncontent acquisitiondeals, partnering withresearch, product, and business development teams todraft andnegotiate term sheets,licenses, and ancillary agreementsforcontent that will be usedin or to develop Digital Media products and services.
  • Createand update templates, playbooks, training materials, policies, etc.
  • Supportthe Digital Media teams in theircontent focused product implementations,
  • Provide legal support with all aspects of Adobe's AI/ML work, such asdrafting, implementing, andmanagingpolicies,providingdeal support,and supporting governance work
  • Partner with many members of the Digital Media legal team to solve complex content issues
  • Keepabreast of the rapidly changing industry and legal landscape related to issues associated with content acquisition,content focused regulationsand AI regulations
  • Build positive relationships andadvisemultiple levels of management on legal issues
  • Developefficient and scalable processes for content acquisitionand moderation
What you need to succeed
  • J.D.from an accredited law school and necessary bar membership
  • Aminimum of 8+ years of relevant legal experience,with at least4 years of tech transactions experience at a law firm and4years of in-house experience preferred. Open to candidates with no prior in-house experience with at least 7 years of tech transactions experience.
  • Strong experience with drafting and negotiating IP and content licenses,includingexpertisein workingwitha wide variety of content providers,especially in the areas of entertainment, music, and AI/ML training
  • Prefer experiencein theAI/MLspace, includingnegotiation and deal support, managing policies, and supporting governance structures
  • Deep understanding of intellectual property law, especially as it relates to content and AI/ML. Data Privacy knowledge and experience a plus
  • Highlyeffective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to succinctly frame complex legal issues and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $136,500 -- $261,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
