Position Objective:

Intern position responsible for assisting the Supply Director and Production Planners to achieve the following objective: Continuously improving planning systems to ensure that daily operations are capable of meeting demand expectations. Must hold paramount achieving customer excellence and employee safety. Provide Production Planning team support in daily operations, develop and implement improvement projects in current planned assembly lines.

DUTIES

  • Lead lean initiatives including supply chain planning methods, master data updates and improvements, and identify inefficiencies through the use of lean principles.
  • Track lean project progress by the use of setting goals and tracking progress to ensure goals are met.
  • Supporting the daily production expectations and plan by working with production planners.
  • Ensure component availability to meet and execute production plan by working with purchasing.
  • Plan and execute production build plan by working with operations.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction projects and/or supply process improvements by working with production planners and purchasing.
  • Assist Production Planners in daily execution of manufacturing plan and development of improvement projects.

  • Provide work direction to assembly, purchasing and warehouse personnel.

Education and Experience:

  • In pursuit or has a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering. Completed most or all upper division courses.
  • Past work in a manufacturing environment desirable, not required.
